GRR is the largest regional commercial service airport serving the West Michigan region, which connects to major airports such as Detroit Metro, Chicago O'Hare, Minneapolis/ St. Paul, Memphis, Denver, and Las Vegas. It offers no direct service to international destinations other than Toronto. The airport serves as a focus city for Allegiant Air.
